Dr. Thio Talks Diet in a Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW) Context

Here, again, is my wonderful doctor who gave me a TSW diagnosis. We hope to work together to raise awareness here in The Netherlands. He had seen patients like me, but hadn’t made the connection to steroids as the cause until we worked together on it. 🥰 He has supported me with labs and medication. Very little research has been done on TSW, making the underlying etiology poorly understood.  However, there seems to be a hyperdilation of the blood vessels that may cause some of the dramatic and debilitating symptoms of TSW, such as redness, burning, itching and oozing of a plasma material.  Not everyone seems to be affected by diet, however, I am very affected by vasodilating foods.  Because of this, I ate a diet that discouraged further vasodilation of the already hyperdilated blood vessels.  That information is online here. www.sashibot.com/no-food-list
